The social coaching is a holistic support measure under § 16k SGB II and is 100% covered by the Jobcenter. As a Grundsicherungsgeld recipient, you bear no costs. We are AZAV-certified (Reg. no. EPZ-25-15-T) and accept participants from all twelve Berlin districts, from Mitte and Friedrichshain-Kreuzberg through Neukölln and Tempelhof-Schöneberg to Marzahn-Hellersdorf, Spandau and Reinickendorf.

It helps you stabilize your personal and social situation, with the goal of gradually preparing you for the labor market. IHQ Akademie offers it as measure 962/9003/26 on-site in Berlin.
The social coaching is free for you with the Jobcenter voucher under § 16k SGB II (Gutschein des Jobcenters). The Jobcenter covers all costs, you pay 0 €; you do not need an AVGS for it. We are AZAV-certified (Reg. no. EPZ-25-15-T) and bill the Jobcenter directly.
Grundsicherungsgeld recipients with special life situations who need holistic support, e.g., homelessness, debt, health issues, addiction, family crises, or other complex social challenges. Whether you can take part is decided by your Jobcenter; there is no legal entitlement.
Up to 6 months with a maximum of 144 support units (Betreuungseinheiten) of 45 minutes each (108 hours), in regular 1:1 sessions on-site in Berlin. Your Jobcenter decides how many units you receive.
The social coaching (holistic coaching under § 16k SGB II) takes place on-site only in Berlin-Friedrichshain, at our two locations Scharnweberstraße 23 and Markgrafendamm 24/Haus 16. You can take part from any Berlin district; our advice centre at Markgrafendamm 24/Haus 16, 10245 Berlin, is easy to reach from Treptow-Köpenick and Lichtenberg. The free on-site initial consultation also takes place there. If needed, we can accompany you to appointments with authorities, offices, or apartment viewings.
No, IHQ Akademie offers social coaching under § 16k SGB II on-site only in Berlin-Friedrichshain (Scharnweberstraße 23 and Markgrafendamm 24/Haus 16), not online. Outside Berlin, ask your local Jobcenter for approved providers of holistic support (Ganzheitliche Betreuung).
You get access to the social coaching through a Jobcenter voucher under § 16k SGB II (Gutschein des Jobcenters), not through the Agentur für Arbeit and not through an AVGS. Ask your integration specialist (Integrationsfachkraft) at the Jobcenter about “ganzheitliche Betreuung nach § 16k SGB II” and quote IHQ Akademie's measure number 962/9003/26. We prepare this with you in the free initial consultation at Markgrafendamm 24/Haus 16. The coaching only starts once you have received the Jobcenter voucher under § 16k SGB II.
No. Holistic support under § 16k SGB II is only for people receiving Grundsicherungsgeld (formerly Bürgergeld), and only the Jobcenter issues the voucher for it; it is not available through the Agentur für Arbeit (Arbeitslosengeld I). You do not need an AVGS (Aktivierungs- und Vermittlungsgutschein under § 45 SGB III) for it: AVGS coachings are separate programmes with their own measure numbers.
The legal basis is § 16k SGB II “Ganzheitliche Betreuung” (holistic support). Paragraph 1 allows holistic and, where appropriate, outreach support to build up employability. Under paragraph 4, the sanction rule of § 31 (1) sentence 1 no. 3 SGB II does not apply; paragraph 5 requires the provider to be approved under AZAV (IHQ Akademie: Reg.-Nr. EPZ-25-15-T). Yes, especially so. The social coaching under § 16k SGB II was specifically designed for long-term unemployed and Grundsicherungsgeld recipients in special life situations. The goal is gradually restoring your employability through holistic support, not the fastest possible route into a job.
Participation in social coaching under § 16k SGB II is explicitly voluntary and based on cooperation and trust. If you decide against participation or end the coaching, there are no sanctions and your Grundsicherungsgeld (formerly Bürgergeld) is not reduced: § 16k (4) SGB II expressly rules out a benefit reduction. This is the central difference from other Jobcenter measures, § 16k protects your autonomy and was deliberately designed to be sanction-free.
